Dr. Amy Krall teaches courses in biblical studies—particularly the New Testament and Psalms.

In her doctoral dissertation, her research focused on the role of singing in Christian maturity, particularly in the letter to the Colossians, and her scholarly work continues to explore the role of music-making in the Pauline letters. In addition to scholarly pieces, she publishes essays for the general public, including blog posts on , the publishing arm of InterVarsity's initiative Women Scholars and Professionals.

Dr. Krall began teaching at Hope in 2024 after three years as assistant professor and program director of biblical and theological studies at Fresno Pacific University. Between college and graduate school, she taught English for a year at a vocational school in Germany as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant.

Outside the College

Dr. Krall enjoys trying new coffees and exploring local parks with her husband as well as learning languages, singing in choirs, writing, and reading more books.
