The Department of Nursing is based in the A. Paul Schaap Science Center, which serves as a home to our hospital simulation and skills lab, research labs and faculty/staff offices.

In addition to classroom spaces throughout campus, our students and faculty learn and collaborate in our simulation lab and in various local health care facilities for their practicum experience, providing real-world opportunities to learn.

Our hospital simulation lab — or skills lab — is a fully equipped practice environment that realistically simulates a clinic or hospital setting. It offers a non-threatening place for students to learn and refine vital nursing skills.
