Tips for working with Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø volunteers

  • Be mindful of the demands of students’ schedules and coursework.
  • Take the opportunity to educate students about your nonprofit.
  • Be aware of transportation challenges for students without cars.
  • Share with students ways they can volunteer with your organization in the future.
  • Be aware of breaks in the Hope calendar, including Christmas, Spring Break and Winter/Fall Break. These may affect a student's volunteer schedule.
  • Share your story. How did you choose this career? Many students are trying to discern if nonprofit work is right for them after college.
